EDUCATION
Designed and patented easily understood tools that transcend language and culture to educate lay people about these devastating conditions.
Funded over 5,000 sanitary and educational kits to keep girls in school. Now they can attend school without shame.
PREVENTION
Helped increase access to health care to 13,000 villagers in Ethiopia, 50,000 in Niger.
Currently supporting expansion of HDI’s Rapid Response Obstetric Fistula Prevention Project to 5 million people.
SURGERY
Funded up to 105 fistula surgeries in Madagascar.
REHABILITATION
Support rehabilitation organizations in Ethiopia and Uganda to help hundreds of women receive care.
IMPROVING THE LIVES OF INCURABLE WOMEN IN ETHIOPIA
Partnered with others to help women who cannot be surgically repaired to have safer housing and health care. Provided funding to rebuild grist mill and develop a women’s sewing cooperative.
